Day 12: The Lady, The Dress and The Orchestra

I liked the red orange color of this dress as well as the grayish brown flower prints.

But I hate these balls hanging at the seams, so they had to go. And the sleeves, yeah they are gone too! :)

But I kept the back, less halter, more covered, as my sister's preference.

Day 11: The 500 Days of Summer Dress for 25 Pesos

This was literally her face when I showed her this dress. She was not happy at all.
But I just knew there is  a beautiful dress somewhere in this.

The structure and construction of this dress definitely have the makings of Zooey Deschanel's 500 Days of Summer Dress.

Baby Chiyo loves this fabric and kept rolling over it.

Here is the end result:

Cost: Php 25.00

Day 10: Turn a XXL top into a dress

Another refashion project : a XXL top to turn into a dress. Sorry about the poor photo. I took it with an old phone. And despite my effort to enhance it, this is the best I came up with. Anywho, here is my other sister wearing it at a Biggs Diner after grocery shopping.

Day 9: Turn an old sweater into a dress

This is an old sweater and as you can see it is too big. However, the print is too cute so I turned it into a dress.

The first step to do that is to cut the sleeves ofF. No patterns just follow the seamline of the sleeves. If it is to big for you, you can adjust it by going a few centimeters up. Sweaters are stretchable so you don't need a pattern, just simple estimate. Or trace another sweater that fits you perfectly.

As for the sleeves, we can use the wrist area just like what I did in Good Little Girl Dress

See how I just make a simple sleeve pattern? That is the basic shape of a sleeve.

Anyway, here is how it looks like now:

Day 8: The Tassel Hassle Dress

Lace details, check! Tassels, double check!! I love this ukay find. This looks brand new. And I got it for only 20 pesos. How lucky!

LOL!! THE DUDE, seriously is the brand name. Pretty funny name for a dress with lace and tassels.

Any, here is what I did to refashion this baby:
Cut it all up..

Cut loose the tassels in the upper area for movement.

Sorry for the photo, but this dress is way way sexier in actual. :)
